All releases

  1. 1.39.3

    • Behind the scenes: Wording now only wakes our servers when you're about to rewrite, so the service stays up reliably.
  2. 1.39.2

    • Fixed: after a microphone hiccup, Wording could quietly stop responding to your shortcuts until you pressed Esc. A voice start that doesn't open now gives up after a few seconds and tells you, instead of leaving the app waiting.
  3. 1.39.1

    • Settings is simpler: the raw token counts and the “On this Mac” block are gone. You see how many rewrites you have left, when your allowance resets, and Manage billing.
    • Fixed: buying extra rewrites on a paid plan used to show only the top-up's rewrites. It now counts everything you have — a yearly plan plus a top-up reads about 22,000 instead of 6,000.
    • Sign-in emails now look like Wording, with the code large and easy to copy.
  4. 1.39.0

    • New price for new subscribers: $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year. If you're already subscribed, nothing changes — you keep your current price.
    • You can now enter a creator's code while setting up, or later in Settings under “Have a code?” — it unlocks a bigger free trial.
  5. 1.38.0

    • New setting: Share anonymous usage stats. It helps us see which features get used and where setup gets stuck — it never includes your text, and you can turn it off any time in Settings → General.
    • The “about N rewrites left” figure is now accurate after you top up. It could read far too low before.
  6. 1.37.1

    • You can now choose monthly or yearly when you subscribe, right from Settings — and buy more rewrites whenever you like, not only once you've run out.
  7. 1.37.0

    • Rewrites stay quick even after a break — Wording now keeps its servers ready while you're using it, instead of letting them doze off.
    • Behind the scenes, the backend moved right next to its database, so every rewrite starts a little sooner.
  8. 1.36.0

    • On the yearly plan your allowance is now one pot for the whole year instead of resetting each month — so a quiet month no longer wastes it.
    • Setup is tidier: the first screen fits without scrolling, and Standard and Plus now sit together with the other features.
    • Top-up amounts were adjusted slightly to cover our running costs.
  9. 1.35.0

    • A fresh, more consistent look across the whole app — one palette, softer corners, and buttons that respond when you hover or press.
    • Setup now ends with a clear look at pricing, and you can reopen it any time from the app menu (Set Up Wording…).
    • You can choose whether Wording checks for updates automatically, and run a check yourself, in Settings.
    • Fixed a bug where pasting while translating dropped your text into the language field instead of the writing box.
    • Behind the scenes, the model that powers each writing mode can now be updated without downloading a new app.
  10. 1.34.9

    • Fixed a false “That app blocked the paste” notice. It could appear even when your text had already landed.
  11. 1.34.8

    • The free trial now covers about 250 rewrites — every feature is still included.
    • The estimate of how many rewrites you have left is more accurate.
  12. 1.34.7

    • Subscribers now get their monthly rewrites reliably.
    • The app now tells you when a newer version is available.
    • Sign-in codes are rate-limited, and billing edge cases are fixed: a refund can’t lock your account, and you can’t be charged twice by mistake.
    • Privacy and polish: your text no longer appears in the app’s log, the microphone no longer opens on every keystroke, and clipboard and dictation edge cases are fixed.
  13. 1.34.6

    • Fixed a bug that stopped some trial gift codes from redeeming.
  14. 1.34.5

    • Rewrites keep numbers written as digits, instead of spelling them out.
  15. 1.34.4

    • Retired some older internal model versions. Rewrites work the same way.
  16. 1.34.3

    • Internal housekeeping. Nothing changes in the app.
  17. 1.34.2

    • Dictation now works reliably in WhatsApp: the raw transcript is replaced by the polished version, as it should be.
  18. 1.34.1

    • The check mark after a rewrite now appears right away, instead of lagging about a second behind in some apps.
    • The prompt box opens faster too.
  19. 1.34.0

    • Under-the-hood work on how Wording produces rewrites. Nothing changes in the app yet.
