Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Onkon Group Ltd (“Wording”, “we”, “us”) for the Wording Mac app and this website. By using Wording, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

What Wording is

Wording is a Mac app that rewrites, replies to, translates, and dictates text in place, wherever you type. It produces its results using third-party AI providers. Those providers are never named in the product.

Your account

You need an email address to sign in, using a code we send you. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 to use Wording.

Plans, allowance, and payment

• You start with a one-time free trial of up to about 250 rewrites.
• Paid plans are $9.99/month or $39.99/year. The monthly plan's allowance refills each month; the yearly plan grants one allowance for the whole year, so any unused amount carries over from month to month until the year ends. The headline of about 1,600 rewrites a month for Standard (about 16,000 a year on the yearly plan) is an estimate based on typical 100-word paragraphs, not a guaranteed count — shorter text costs less and heavier text costs more.
• Plus uses about 4× your allowance per rewrite.
• Optional top-ups are offered close to our cost and never expire. There is no auto-recharge.
• When your allowance runs out, writing pauses and you can add more. We don’t charge you unexpectedly.

Billing and renewal

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and you’ll keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Prices may change, and we’ll tell you before a change affects you.

Refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time; we don’t refund part of a billing period by default. If you were charged by mistake, or something went wrong, email hello@wording.me and we’ll put it right. If you’re a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a legal right to withdraw within 14 days of a purchase — contact us and we’ll honour it. Top-ups are bought at close to cost and never expire, so we don’t refund them once they’ve been credited, except where the law requires it.

Acceptable use

Please don’t use Wording to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or create harmful content; to try to bypass or abuse your allowance or our metering; to resell or redistribute the app; or to reverse engineer it or interfere with the service.

AI output

Wording is a writing aid. AI can make mistakes and can’t be relied on for facts. You’re responsible for reviewing what it produces before you use it. Don’t rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

Your content and ours

You keep the rights you already have in the text you submit. We own the app, this website, our brand, and our prompts and systems. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for as long as you follow these terms.

Availability and changes

We provide Wording “as is” and aim to keep it working, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or withdraw features, and may suspend accounts that breach these terms or don’t pay.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and disputes are handled by the courts there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above and tell you about significant changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use Wording means you accept the updated terms.
